This sublime fruit of the Ancient Tradition of Modena has been passed on for several generations within the Barbieri family. It is directly derived from the century-old battery which used to belong to great-GRANDMOTHER Maria: only very few cruets are available every year.
It is characterised by very intense Balsamic tastes and aroma which are valuable, complex and harmonious, certainly difficult to find in other types of Traditional Vinegar. It is always classified in the top positions of the “Palio di San Giovanni”, the annual competition among traditional Balsamic Vinegars in Spilamberto near Modena.
It is almost worth collecting. If tasted directly from a teaspoon, it invades the palate with endless sensations that will persist until next year’s supply.
